Charisma and leadership

In this week, I learned about Charisma. This quality is important when people perform leadership about the others.
According to Randy Haykin some characteristics of charismatic people are:
Successful people in several things.
They have momentum for to make things.
They just naturally having fun in what they are doing.
Their actions and their day-to-day routines do match their values.
They gathering a great following because they having fun, enjoying themselves, and at the same time moving forward.
They tend to have an element of playfulness.
They are the ones who have people laughing at lunch and keep a smile on people’s faces.
They can sell people and they don’t quit too easily.
They have audacity and keep life in perspective.
Being charismatic is an important trait of a successful leader. It is an excellent interpersonal skill. As these skills, can be learned and developed so developing your charisma is possible.
When I think is quality, I think about our church's leaders. They are confident and optimist. They show us his interest in our life.
They motivate us to unite in a cause as members of church.
Our maximum charismatic leader is our Savior Jesus Christ, these characteristics belong to him.

Jacob 2:18-19

If I would want summarize the reading of this week with a scripture, I would choose that: Jacob 2: 18-19
18. But before ye seek for riches, seek ye for the kingdom of God.19. And after ye have obtained a hope in Christ ye shall obtain riches, if ye seek them; and ye will seek them for the intent to do good—to clothe the naked, and to feed the hungry, and to liberate the captive, and administer relief to the sick and the afflicted.
With these verses, I answer the questions: What is the “real justification” for the existence of businesses? The purpose of business is obtain riches and to do good other people. For that exist a balance is necessary the virtue and integrity, as said Elder Robert C. Gay:  "It is not what you have, but who you are, and who you are, is not what you say but what you do.", "Business is about service and about rescue."
Elder Gay encouraged all entrepreneurs to become today modern pioneers. He stated, “True pioneers solve problems, and rise to bless others and open up new frontiers to finish the undone work that God left us to do.”
When a person becomes a modern pioneer, he is prepared from the foundations to lift this world.
This phrase penetrated into my heart. "Before we can receive the whole hand of the Lord in our affairs, we must be in harmony with His will.” and what is His will? Pay tithing, serve others, make covenants with him, and saved somebody.
WE can make a difference in the world and in our own society. We need to be focused on how we to make a business class A, and not on how much money we can earn as entrepreneurs.

I want to end with this reflection: "Trust is also fragile, like a piece of china, once cracked is never exactly the same," and the trust of the people in business, those who run it, is cracking today. It is our duty to make a difference.

My paradigm about Money

Sean Covey says:
"Paradigms are like glasses When you have incomplete paradigms about yourself or life in general, it's like wearing glasses with the wrong prescription"
We all have paradigms or filters in our minds that change the way we see things. This week, I found this question: What is the right way to see money? What is your paradigm about money? Stephen W. Gibson replies: You should decide that for yourself.
In Jacob 2: 18-19 I find the basis for my paradigm of money and work: "It is okay to seek money, if we do it in the right order, after having received hope in Christ, after the Money to do good. "
The writing is clear, and it teaches me the order to obtain riches and success in life. In this scripture, we find the following steps if we want to thrive in our life:
1.Seek the Lord and have hope in Him.
2.Keep the commandments, which includes the temporal, tithe, and fast offerings.
3.Think about money and plan how you can become self-sufficient.
4.Take advantage of learning opportunities so you will not be ignorant of these issues. Education is the key to opportunity.
5.Learn the laws on which the blessings of wealth are based.
6.Do not send the naked, the hungry, the thirsty or the sick, or those held captive.
The importance is not how much money we have, the key is how, and for what reason we achieve money.

License to dream and create

I have always been interested to know, what would happen if people not were so busy? What would do children in schools if they had not lessons from their teachers? What would happen in your work if your boss let you act freely?
I think that the ability to listen to our inner voice and do things per our interest finish when we are children. Our creativity and ability to innovate diminishes when we do not have the time or the permission to do the things we want to do; those things that we care about and love. When we are children we think great things, anything dream is possible.
When do we stop pursuing our dreams? When do we stop having fun with our work?
I find it very interesting to have the goal of using twenty percent of our time to carry out creative projects. It is also very beneficial to have the habit of thought big.
To dream big things, and to have faith carry out them, will help us not only to have great thoughts, but to become great people of success.
Jesus Christ always emphasizes the importance of being like children. Children are creative, fun. They are always looking for things to do. They have licence to do whatever they want.

The Ability to Execute

It is wonderful and a blessing, that I can still learn something new: The ability to execute tasks.
This is a rare skill, few people have it. I think this fantastic skill goes hand in hand with other abilities such as: Initiative, curiosity, courage, common sense and positive thoughts.
One of my favorite writings says,
"For behold, it is not meet that I should command in all things; for he that is compelled in all things, the same is a slothful and not a wise servant; Wherefore I received not reward".
When I read about the ability to execute, I thought of that verse. If one receives an assignment and have the needs to obtain even the smallest detail to fulfill it, he becomes lazy, slow, unable to grow with unwillingness to concentrate on a thing  and do it.
I have worked with people, who when I have delegated something, ask me How do I do? Where do I buy it? Can you help me? I find it very tedious that they be so. I do not want to be with them anymore.
On the other hand, I love to near people who bring new ideas, and whose work is creative. They end up something, and instead to ask me "How do I do it? They say: It is done, come and monitor how I did it, what else do I do now?
Our Savior, as leader, tells us that, "It is not meet that I should command in all things," He gives us the example: He delegates but gives us no directions for
All because he wants us to develop our wisdom and ability to perform actions. He knows the "reward" we will receive if we succeed: Success, happiness, Self-sufficiency.

We must do many things of our own free will. We must be our own agents. Jesus Christ asks us what kind of people should we be? Even as I am, he answered us.

Good Things to Come

This video by Elder Jeffrey Holland had touch my heart. I also can imagine a girl, who don't want to go school because she suffers bullying, and it so difficult for her to have friends. I see her tears in the nights. I say her, the same it,
"Don't you quit, you keep walking, you keep trying, there is help and happiness ahead. Some blessings come soon. Some came late, and some don't come till Heaven".
I also can imagine a young woman with low self-esteem, who sees herself ugly and fat. I see her sad thoughts, her despair. She cannot to see her value, her beauty.  I say her,
"Don't you quit, you keep walking, you keep trying, there is help and happiness ahead. Some blessings come soon. Some came late, and some don't come till Heaven".
I can imagine to professional woman, intelligent, worker. She is alone. She wants to married and to have a son. The years pass and she cannot to married. She has fear to be alone. I say her,
"Don't you quit, you keep walking, you keep trying, there is help and happiness ahead. Some blessings come soon. Some came late, and some don't come till Heaven".
I can imagine a mother and wife with fear, she wants to be self- reliance, she wants to help to her husband, and her son.  I say her,
"Don't you quit, you keep walking, you keep trying, there is help and happiness ahead. Some blessings come soon. Some came late, and some don't come till Heaven".
I see her faithful to the gospel, she is praying, she is serving, she is studying the scriptures and English. She is married, she has a son, she is professional. She doesn’t feel fear, she has hope. God cares her education, cares her. She is loved. She is happy. She keeps walking. She keeps trying. She knows that some blessings come soon, others come later, and some don't come till Heaven. This is my testimony.

Be proactive

Once, I listened that thing more difficult for one person should be the first for fulfil in her or his life. Be proactive is in this time is so important for me. It is the first habit, thus is the base in the life. I like the analogy of soda versus water in a bottle. If one stirred soda this explodes, but not matter how much you stirred water in a bottle, this never explodes. I wish to be as water. I want to stay calm, control and quiet when problems arrive.
The key is "Think before react or act". My impulsive temperament is as sword double-edged. It is my strength when I should take initiative, but my weakness when I feel attacked.
Sometimes my emotional nature loses the control, and end I say to others hurtful words. Be proactive means that I am own my emotions, that nothing nor anybody have influence in me and my emotions.
My goal is to be resilient. I do not want feel me victim of my circumstances.  I can change my life; I am responsible of my acts. I have learned that only thing I can change is my response to what happens to me, the rest is out my control.

Seven habits is a wonderful book, it is changing my life. I invite you to read it.

The Mastery Curve

Adapted from  Book "Mastery" by George Leonard
After, that I have read second chapter of book: Mastery. I can say that I am genius at least in something. I was born of good parents without genetic defects, thus I have a great potential as being human for achieve the mastery in some skill.
What path I will choose for this? It is an interesting question of this book. In this time of my life I know almost nothing about the process that leads to Mastery. This term It is not an end, rather is a path. Some people are describing Mastery a process, as a journey in which one learned a new skill, then one might work and practice with a baby steps, finally perseveres diligently until end.
Some people think in learn a skill, give great steps toward success, and as magic event achieve the Mastery, this is illusion, imaginary, is not real. We need practice in "Plateau" which is our time with consistent effort. There three kind of people, those Dabble are enthusiasm persons only with when start a new job, skill or relationship, they detest Plateau. The second kind of person are The Obsessives, they not accept to stay much time in Plateau, finally the last kind of people are The Hacker, they love to stay in Plateau indefinitely. If one person avoids to fall in these characters, then will be on the path of Mastery.

Am I destined to change the world?

This is deep question. I believe that every person is call to change the world in some aspect. And I say "call" because not all persons go to this calling. In the scriptures say, "Many Called; Few Chosen" Everyone bring gifts when born. Each person discovers which is her or his gift and find her or his calling, that person is destined to change the world.
First Things First, what are my gifts? how I discovers them? how I use them for working in my calling? If I begin with the end in mind. I be able to find success and happiness then I can to serve others.

Our gifts show us the path toward our calling. This gifts are personal Urim and Tumim. When we find, and attend to our calling, the life gets meaning.
Of this manner, we can say that our life has meaning and that we can hope to listen these words someday.
“His lord said unto him, well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
Let us go on our journey, there is still much to be done.

The formula for Success and Happiness

In this week, I started reading chapter four of Ministry of Business. I have not known about this formula for success until now.
The key in this pathway is trust in three levels. Have trust with yourself, to be trustworthy, and to have trust in our mentors.
For first level, you need achieving three basis habits, what are call a "Private Victory".
  • Be Proactive
  • Begin With the End in Mind
  • Put First Things First
For second level, you need achieving three more essential habits, what are call a "Public Victory"
  • Think Win - Win
  • Seek first to understand, then to be understood
  • Create Synergy
There is a seventh habit, "Sharpening the Saw", which means to be consistently learning, writing, thinking or developing talents, etc.
Once that you achieved these seven habits, our pathway is ready for to begin our travel toward success and happiness.
The formula is simple, clear and concise. If you perform its six steps, you will have a fairy tale life.
  1. Get up Early
  2. Work Hard
  3. Get Your Education
  4. Find Your Education
  5. Find Your Oil
  6. Make Your Mark
  7. Get prepared to Be of Service

For me the last step is something for ponder. My aims and goals should go in this direction, serving others, then I will achieve to have success and happiness in my life.

I believe in this. I know that is not coincidence have learned this formula in this time of my life. I know God cares me.

Verily I say unto you, even as I am

I like this question,
"Therefore, what manner of men ought ye to be? ",
 and even more the answer,
"Verily I say unto you, even as I am.”
Who is Him? Is our Savior Jesus Christ.
  • We can adapt it with questions as these:
  • What manner of entrepreneur ought ye to be?
  • What manner of employee ought ye to be?
  • What manner of professional ought ye to be?
  • What manner of boss ought ye to be?
The answer always be the same: "Verily I say unto you, even as I Am.”, and how is Him? I could write dozen essays about that. Verily, He is a man, a leader, a boss "A+" level. He is a man of integrity, honest, merciful and chaste. He is somebody to who follow and imitate.

Never before, I had thought that there may be several levels of entrepreneurs, managers, professionals, employees. What is my level? What is my motivation each day? Why I go to my job each morning? What say my inner voice? What is my calling? When I think about these questions, my heart say as Nephi,
"O wretched woman that I am! Yea, my heart sorroweth because of my flesh; my soul grieveth because of mine iniquities."

Generally, being humans measure their success comparing with others. This is dangerous because as Elder Robbins says,
"The work environment as a strategic setting to stir up all manner of sin, and Satan know it." When we not willing to reach to "A" level in their lives, they can include to our life the covetousness, jealousies, self-indulgence, living beyond one’s means, anger, contention in marriages, infidelity, greed and envy, selfishness, even theft and murder. This is not part of the Lord’s plan for His children.
Our Savior invite to be like Him, and with His wholeheartedly says us: Follow me.

What kind of things we can to make for follow our Savior?

My Life: Calling and Dreams

What is your calling in life? This appear a simple question but it is not. It is deep and philosophical question. I think that, we will be able to have an answer when our relation with God is good. We should to be valiant for fulfill with that called. In this time my calling is to be a mother and teacher for my children. Perhaps some people think that this is ordinary, simple and boring, but is not for me. Believe me, currently is so difficult to be a good mother. The world laughs at me. Is in this moment when I should be valiant and fulfill with my calling.
Our prophets taught: "Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children." who better than a mother for teach to children how finding and reach your stars, how making your how steppingstones and understanding what is fundamental in their lives.
To listen my calling in life was not easy. When I was twenty years old, I felt very sad, then I traveled to mountains to seek myself. In this place, I was nearer to my savior and I listened my calling.
Twelve years passed, for I could start with my calling. Now, I continuously reexamine my actions versus my beliefs to see if I am still on the path.

In this week, I have known someone who was able to achieve so many of his childhood dreams because of the way he acted in his life. Randy Pausch lived a great life, he was good in something, and he strove and found the best of each person. Randy was a verdict person, humble. He achieved his dreams because He was prepared, and he found opportunities.
Our dreams are very important, but the essential must be our stile of life. If we dream wholeheartedly, and we choose the right, will happen good things in our life. The brick walls "opposition", are there to teach us the value of our dreams.
When I was a child, I dreamed wholeheartedly be a ballet dancer. I was the best student in gymnastic class, when National Ballet Institute arrived my school and gave fives scholarship, I obtained one.
I was lucky, that is I was prepared and found an opportunity. In other words, I was blessed.
What are your childhood dreams?

Wholeheartedly Entrepreneur

This is my first post towards my success pathway. I want start talk about my first  book in English: The ministry of business. It is a incredible book. In this week, I have learned many new words such as: masterful, entrepreneur, entrepreneurial, approach, outlined, mentorship, wholeheartedly, regardless, and more. I have two favorite words, and I use them for the title of this journal: Wholeheartedly Entrepreneurial. I like this words because I  have never heard them and I want to be wholeheartedly entrepreneurial. Yesterday, I read this quote:
" The marriage of great spiritual principles with great business principles will enable you to achieve your greatest and noblest dreams"
This assertion have penetrated deep in my mind and my heart. I know that there are spiritual principles, but I have never thought about business principles, it is new for me. Now, I am a true believer. I want attain my divine potential, and begin to have success in all my aims.
I was fascinated with Pathway program, it helped me in many ways. Pathway was a blessing in my life. It was during in the winter 2016 when I decided to study Business Management and attain my temporal success. I know there are no coincidences in life, God cares my education.
